"Hidden gem doesn't begin to do this place justice, amazing food, such friendly owners, will definatley be coming back!"
"First time diners….overall, Cosy place, friendly service, great food. Fillet steak cooked to perfection, spicy potatoes were great. Plenty of tasty king prawns in the pasta dish, and my son loved the bolognaise. Would highly recommend and visit again"
"Good food and service. Nice decor."
"We booked this restaurant expecting an old traditional style restaurant experience with great atmosphere, plenty of laughter, good service and delicious food. Unfortunately we did not experience any of the above, the restaurant is tired and stuck in a time zone. On arrival we were not welcomed and told to sit in the corner, when we asked the weighter to light the table candle he responded I do not smoke and walked away. We were sat on a table that had stained disposable table cloths which had been clearly used prior to our arrival and witnessed people leaving and new arrivals being sat on tables without removing dirty disposable cloths or the table being wiped. The carpet on the stairs as you go up to use the lavatory needs replacing, as it is filthy. We did not feel any energy or excitement from the staff. The food is average and overpriced, the tirimisu tasted like it had been sat in a fridge for a week (the worst I've ever tasted) I took one mouth full and I wouldn't try it again. Overall really disappointed with the service the place needs fresh blood and updating. Shame really as we left feeling deflated and disappointed. Gordon Ramsey would have a field day as this place could be something special which I have no doubt it once was."
"Great meal! No gimmicks. When walking in it doesn't look like much compared to other local restaurants... It's quite small and you could say the decor is maybe dated. But once you're sat down, you realise the decor added to making us feel like we really were in a little restaurant in Italy. The staff and the atmosphere created there was fantastic too. For an hour we genuinely felt like we were on holiday in Italy, in a little cafe on a side street. La Lupa is not trying to be anything it isn't. Perfect authentic Italian food and it was delicious. Definitely will be making it our regular every odd weekend. Very fairly priced too. Brilliant."
