"The pizza here tends to be a hit or miss. There's no consistency, and you never know if the pizza ordered will come out well. Unfortunately this visit was a miss in all areas! My pizza crust was deflated like someone sat on half of it! The pizza crust was mostly overbaked. You can see the difference between my pizza and my friends' pizzas. Service was abysmal. It took a long time before our order was taken. No one came to check on us to ask if we needed anything else. It took a long time to flag a waiter to ask for boxes to pack our leftovers as well as to get the bill. Needless to say, I won't be returning for a long time. I will go to their competitor in South Quay next time I want pizza!"
"Unfortunately a disappointing experience. Only three staff serving tables whom we rarely saw, they weren’t attentive nor did they seem efficient. We asked for tap water along with our food order - which was clearly acknowledged, but then never arrived. Our drinks were served in bottles with no glasses, ice, or lemon slices for the coca-cola. We ordered a ‘meat special’ pizza, which was very oily and light on the meat, and a yellowfin tuna salad, which was some oily tinned tuna over a bowl of half-dead lettuce leaves and a mayonnaise-style sauce over the top. Very unappetising, and £10.45 for the salad. Their other salad on the menu (again £10.45) is a veggie/vegan salad with roasted butternut squash, artichoke and optional goats cheese, which is also served cold, despite being in mid-winter (and cold butternut squash is horrid). I’m disappointed about the limp, brown and soggy salad leaves - no one came to check on us, and I mentioned it to the waiter who cleared our plates and he barely acknowledged it. Other Franco Manca restaurants we have visited are speedy, efficient and friendly, but sadly this one was not."
"A restaurant I can’t stop going too, especially when they introduced the rewards system on the app. Gorgeous and affordable pizzas, I honestly have never liked the plain options as much as here… a number 2 (organic tomatoes? Mozzarella & basil) for a very affordable price. One downside is the staff though, multiple times I’m left waiting to order with an almost comical lack of eye contact when leaning obviously out of your seat to get the staffs attention. Not just this particular establishment but I’ve noticed it in others… but apart from that and this very dirty unusable glass, I love the place and get collecting for that free pizza!"
"After been to other Franca Manca's and never had a problem. I wanted a gluten free buffalo mozzarella tomato and rocket pizza Brussetta type thing. Server automatically said we can't do that . When I said other branches have accommodated me. The server changed her tune. I got it the gluten free base was really burnt in places, which made the whole thing taste of burnt. I mentioned it and the server was apologetic and said that she would take it off the bill. Which was £2.50 for the base. I had to wait a long time for this to arrive. The tomato and buffalo mozzarella pizza was really nice and fresh. Ordered chocolate and hazelnut cake this took a very long time to arrive we had to ask for it again. It wasn't a great experience."
"Great pizza at extremely reasonable prices! We paid about £85 for 7 of us (including 1 kids menu). This included a 10%tip and a drink each. Some had water or juice and I had a rather nice beer. There was plenty of space at 12 when it opened though it filled up later. The music was too loud for conversation at first but they willingly turned it down when we asked. This was my second visit to one of their restaurants, but will not be my last!"
