The Adolphine Fletcher Terry Library, located in Little Rock, Arkansas, is part of the Central Arkansas Library System (CALS). The library was expanded in 2001 to cater to the growing west Little Rock community, offering a wide selection of books and audio/visual items for both adults and children. The facility also features enclosed study rooms and public Internet access. Named after a prominent Little Rock native and library advocate, Adolphine Fletcher Terry, the library hosts a variety of monthly programs for children and adults. Adolphine Fletcher Terry was known for her dedication to improving Arkansas' school systems and was a trustee of the Little Rock Public Library for over 40 years.
Dee Brown Library - Central Arkansas Library System
Dee Brown Library, part of the Central Arkansas Library System (CALS), is located at 6325 Baseline Road in Little Rock, Arkansas. This 13,500-square-feet library offers a wide range of adult and children's books, as well as CDs and DVDs. The library, which opened in 2002, features public study rooms, a meeting room, and an outside deck and boardwalk leading from Baseline Road. The meeting room can accommodate up to 50 people and is equipped with a projector and whiteboard, as well as access to a small kitchen with a sink and microwave. Dee Brown, the library's namesake, was a novelist and historian best known for his book "Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee."
