Cocopah Korner
Cocopah Korner is a gas station located at 3446 U.S. 95 in Somerton, Arizona, United States. The station is owned and operated by the Cocopah Indian Tribe, known as the River People, who have lived along the lower Colorado River and delta for centuries. The tribe has maintained their traditional and cultural beliefs despite political and environmental changes. Established in 1917, the Cocopah Reservation covers approximately 6,500 acres and is home to about 1,000 tribal members. The tribe founded its first Constitution in 1964 and established a Tribal Council. The reservation is located 13 miles south of Yuma, AZ, and is home to various attractions such as Cocopah Casino, Cocopah Resort & Conference Center, Cocopah Rio Colorado Golf Course, Cocopah Museum, Cocopah RV & Golf Resort, Cocopah Speedway, and Wild River Family Entertainment Center.

Palm Canyon, Kofa National Wildlife Refuge is a peaceful park located in Yuma, Arizona, offering visitors a chance to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of daily life and immerse themselves in the beauty of nature. The refuge provides a variety of recreational opportunities, from wildlife observation to backpacking and photography. Visitors can stop by the Refuge Headquarters/Visitor Center in Yuma to plan their visit, browse exhibits, and pick up maps and brochures. Located 40 miles north of Yuma, the refuge offers a vast landscape and solitude that allows for a unique outdoor experience. Visitors are advised to come prepared with plenty of water, snacks, sunscreen, and insect repellent, as well as appropriate clothing for the season. The refuge roads are not regularly maintained, so it is recommended to have a four-wheel drive vehicle for exploring the area.
