La Posa North BLM Long Term Visitor Area (LTVA) is a campground and park located at 47206-47306 U.S. 95 in Quartzsite, Arizona, United States. This 11,400-acre area was created in 1983 to cater to winter visitors while also protecting the local desert ecosystem. The landscape is flat and sparsely vegetated with various desert plants such as creosote bushes, palo verde trees, and cacti. Visitors can enjoy solitude in this unique desert landscape and engage in activities like hiking, wildlife viewing, and rockhounding. The facility offers amenities such as ADA accessible vault toilets, water faucets, dump stations, trash services, a dance floor, and ramadas. Visitors can purchase long term or short term permits to access the LTVA, allowing them to stay for extended periods from September 15th to April 15th. Fees are required for day-use, overnight use, or annual permits from April 16th to September 14th.
