Atwood Concert Hall
Atwood Concert Hall, located at 621 West 6th Avenue in Anchorage, Alaska, is the largest performance space in the area. This acoustically sensitive and dramatically designed venue has hosted a wide range of performances, from Broadway tours to popular comedians. With over 2,000 seats, the Atwood Concert Hall features a massive stage with a state-of-the-art Meyers Sound System, making it ideal for symphonic, chamber, and popular music presentations, as well as dance performances and Broadway musicals. The venue is named after Evangeline Atwood, a noted historian and author, and her husband Robert Atwood, who was a champion of Alaska statehood. The starburst ceiling above the auditorium adds to the ambiance, with its vibrant colors resembling an aurora borealis.
