Welcome to Cherith Baptist Church, a dedicated place of worship nestled at 168 County Road 240 in the serene town of Wedowee, Alabama. Since our humble beginnings in 1992, when we first gathered in a small storage room, our mission has been clear: to create a space where the whole counsel of God is preached and the one, true, living God is worshipped wholeheartedly. At Cherith Baptist Church, we are guided by the Scriptures as our sole authority, striving to honor and glorify Christ in all we do. While we do not adhere to a formal creed, our beliefs align closely with the principles outlined in the 1689 London Confession of Faith. In 1999, our congregation made a significant step forward by asking our pastor to serve full-time, allowing us to deepen our ministry and expand our facilities. Our current building, completed in less than a year, provides a welcoming environment for worship every Lord’s Day and Wednesday night.
