"So first off, we showed up around 7 PM. So maybe a lot of this is because the meat was sitting around for awhile. Not sure. The ribs were good. A bit overcooked and a little dry, a bit too tender if anything, but the flavor was good. The chicken was also good, but it was a little dry too. The pulled pork was very dry. Still good when drenched with their house BBQ sauce, which was delicious by the way, but it was still disappointing. I'd also like to say that the white BBQ sauce was delicious. I'd heard of that but never had it before, and was excited to try it on the chicken. Absolutely fantastic sauce. The potato salad was kind of just bad, though. The potatoes were extremely undercooked, with some of them even coming across as borderline crunchy. That could have just been a bad day? Maybe it usually great. The undercooked potatoes kind of matched the dry meats, so maybe things just went poorly today. The gooey cake was dangerously good. Not exactly the hardest thing to make addictive, sure, but good lord, it was good."
"Service and atmosphere was great. I think I was the first one there in the morning so it took a bit of time to get my food. The staff was extremely kind - they let me try the black eyed peas before getting the whole side, and it was extremely delicious. The barbecue itself, however, was very disappointing. It wasn’t good at all. But I did enjoy the white sauce."
