"Paid $200 for an interior detail and car was returned still in poor shape. Bought a car 2 months ago and finally got a chance to deal with it. I knew it would be a job. Whoever had it before me destroyed it. I was originally quoted $300 for a seat out total restoration. $300 is insanely high for an interior detail but the car needed an extreme cleaning. The seats didn’t need to come out luckily. While the seats are cleaner than they were they’re still very stained. The carpet was cleaned. The doors and dash were wiped down with what is likely armor all. The speaker areas have what I’m assuming soda spilled down them and those weren’t cleaned. I was told the seats wouldn’t come cleaner and he couldn’t do the speaker covers. He also stated the headliner cannot be cleaned but it can be wiped. Headliner wasn’t wiped or cleaned in the slightest. Not only were those left in poor shape but none of the vents, crevices, cubbies or plastics around the windows were touched. I did reach out to the shop and was offered to bring it back. There’s no point in taking it back when I was told he got it as clean as he could get it. Yes they could clean the vents, cubbies and crevices but I also need the rest cleaned as well and if I’m going to pay another shop to do me seats, speaker overs and headliner, I may as well have them clean it all. I’m just going to cut my loss of $200 since I’m not able to get even part of my money back and take my car to Pemberton AutoSpa in Chesapeake. Now I’m paying an additional $140 for a second full detail in order to have it finished as they state that they can clean the areas that I was told couldn’t be done or done better as well as the areas that weren’t touched. Sucks because I just wanted to support a local new small business. Sadly, I didn’t even get an apology for my dissatisfaction after contacting them. He then blocked me on the Grims Guys Garage Facebook page after I posted my review. Edit to reply- You’re right, it could’ve been handled differently. You could have given a partial refund as you yourself told me that you couldn’t get the seats cleaner, couldn’t clean the speaker covers and refused to touch the headliner. I am now paying another location to clean it right. I’m paying more money so I may as well let them do it right the first time. Also, why would I waste my time with a business owner that wouldn’t even apologize for the way my car was returned to me? I didn’t destroy anything."
