Welcome to Christ Temple Church, a vibrant place of worship located at 2400 Johnstown Road, Huntington, West Virginia. Our story is nothing short of miraculous, rooted in the belief that the Lord who began the good work in us will continue to perform it (Philippians 1:6).
At Christ Temple, we are committed to being a spiritual family of believers who enthusiastically love God, deeply love one another, and actively develop disciples. Our mission is to share the great news of salvation through Jesus Christ with this generation.
Since 1996, under the leadership of Pastor Chuck Lawrence, who initially served as the music minister for 14 years, we have grown and thrived as a community. Pastor Lawrence's journey from a bi-vocational leader to senior pastor is a testament to God’s unique plan for Christ Temple.
Join us for our Community Health and Wellness Resource Fair at the HLC and explore our story, structure, and vision. Our celebrations, facilitated by Pastor Chuck Lawrence and Pastor Keith Watters, are designed to help you understand the significance of prayer, covenant, and spiritual growth. "To start, I got married in this church. It was beautiful. The problem came afterwards when my now ex-husband and I went to them for some marriage counseling since we were having trouble. What a mistake that was. They set us up with a couple who worked for the church and had no actual training in counseling. They basically shamed me for weeks for not wanting children. I was a disgrace as a woman and a wife. They only affirmed my husband and never took my side. Ever. Even when he basically cheated on me, they said that he must have had a reason for it. Well my marriage fell apart. And I am not blaming them for it. But we went to them for help and got none."

"Wow what a church. The presence felt and enjoyed visiting and seeing Perry Stone for the weekend. The church is clean and beautiful but the people that surround and keep it, you can tell they love their church. Alot of different things for many different ages to show you that you belong. The lead pastor was so nice and I loved the worship. Really nice church. If in the area again I would come again. Thank you for Hosting the event. My mom and I loved it"
