"★★☆☆☆ Popularity ★☆☆☆☆ Size/Location ★★★★★ Terrain ★★☆☆☆ Scenery ★★☆☆☆ Accessibility ★★☆☆☆ Amenities ★★★★★ Condition ★☆☆☆☆ Safety A few weeks back, I embarked on a visit to Victory Park, an excursion that left me with mixed feelings. While the park itself exuded charm and a sense of tranquility, my experience was marred by the less-than-desirable crowd that had gathered there. It was an endeavor to enjoy my lunch from Fusabowl, which I had procured from the shopping center just across the street, amidst the inviting ambiance of the park. However, what transpired was anything but the peaceful meal I had envisioned. As I entered the park, my initial impressions were positive. The park boasted a compact yet visually appealing landscape, neatly maintained and free from litter. It was clear that care had been taken to ensure its cleanliness. A moderate number of people were present, engaged in various activities such as leisurely strolls, taking respite on benches, or simply lingering within. A walking path ran through the park, effectively dividing its expanse; informative signs and boards scattered throughout offered historical insights to curious visitors. One prominent feature that caught my eye was a substantial tank, seemingly of significant historical importance, casting an imposing and somewhat intimidating presence across the park. While Victory Park seemed to offer a pleasant ambiance, there were certain inconveniences that I noted. A notable absence of portable restrooms was evident, although drinking fountains were conveniently available. Shade-providing structures peppered the landscape, though regrettably, most of the benches were not strategically placed within these shaded areas. I was fortunate to find an available staircase nearby, where I intended to savor my lunch in relative comfort. My anticipation for a serene lunchtime interlude, however, was disrupted by an unfortunate incident involving a group of three men seated on a nearby bench. What began as a simple meal quickly transformed into an unsettling encounter, as their loud and discourteous behavior turned towards me, seemingly directed at my presence. Despite my attempts to dismiss their antics, they persisted, their tone growing more aggressive and their language increasingly offensive. Fearing an escalation, I decided to swiftly relocate myself from the situation, ultimately preventing any further confrontation. Reflecting upon my visit to Victory Park, I find it to be a charming and serene escape in the midst of a bustling neighborhood. Its potential as a pleasant retreat is undeniable, marred only by the behavior of certain individuals who may be drawn to the space. It might be beneficial for local authorities to consider increasing police presence and patrolling in the area, ensuring that the park's tranquility remains undisturbed for all who seek solace within its confines."

"It's a nice refreshed park. What captures you instantly is that they decided to put an old army main battle tank right in the front. It's obvious that they have added them to the park over the last few years because you can see the newness of the area compared to what is there. It isn't the largest of parks, but to see the main battle tank is worth a stop and to have remembrance for our veterans that have fought for our freedoms in this country."

"Beautiful quiet and small park to visit with the family or even by yourself to sit and eat dinner or have a picnic outdoors with the family surrounded by the beautiful scenery the park offers with so many amazing historical military artifacts and several engraved memorials honoring our veterans who gave the ultimate sacrifice of their lives to protect and ensure our freedom! It has a beautiful entrance right on Montgomery Rd across from Surrey square that has a Beautiful large stone memorial wall engraved with historical events and dedications to veterans that is surrounded by benches and landscaping for a beautiful relaxing sitting area with a perfect view of the other areas of the park which include a gazebo area, swing set and small playset for the smaller kiddos with a slide and climbing area!"
