"This is a public and free platform from which to watch the trains go by. It's a high platform, but there's a lift as well as stairs to get you up there. There's free parking. Once up there, you'll find a large concrete floor with a couple of park benches. Oddly, one of them is facing away from the railway, over the river, which you can't see because it's obscured by terrain and foliage. There's a guard fence surrounding the platform, which I'm afraid might be inviting to kids as a climbing frame. The structure is fully rooved, making it useful in all weathers except for cold or very windy conditions. There's excellent mobile reception up there. There are also some interpretation boards up there, and lighting. If it wanted to be amazing, I would suggest: - trim back the foliage to the side, especially to the left which obscures the bridge at the moment - put in a couple of picnic tables. There's plenty of room - if there are any local places that sell take out food and drink, advertise them there!"
"I shot all video and you can see it on YouTube under my name! This was a great place to visit, especially for a railfan! Train after train, plus this platform has an elevator too.. Have to use the bathroom? Walk over to the police dept and they'll gladly let you use theirs!"
