Dodds Memorials - Monroe

"I recently visited the Dodds Memorials branch office in Monroe on Route 63 on the right just past the Premium Outlet turn. I met the nicest lady Shelley Morton who made me feel welcomed and comfortable. I am pre-planning funeral arrangements for my brother and buying a headstone was one of those tasks. I looked at their website before coming in and I was able to get an idea of what we wanted but I was still initially overwhelmed with decisions I had to make as to type of stone, height, slant or straight, lettering styles, embellishments etc. But Shelley broke it all down for me and I walked out with a printout of about what we wanted which I took to my brother for his approval. I came back a second time to finalize everything and we pinned down what would be engraved on the stone and how it would be arranged. She went over prices and warranties and anything else and I knew exactly what it would cost. I was also relieved to know that the engraving didn’t have to be “carved in stone” that day (pun intended) and there would be time to alter it after seeing the mock-up by the engraver. All-in-all in was a pleasant experience for someone who has never had to plan final arrangements for someone and I learned a lot which will make it easier for me when I make my own arrangement someday. "Everything was perfect on the stone and completion of the stone. It got a little stressful when it hadn't been placed as of 2 days before the service. I'm not too sure who's fault it was, at that point, but I did not need any more worries. You are great to work with and the communication was GREAT when the stone WAS set and you let me know. We had bubbles instead of a balloon release (more environmentally kind). Maybe you can see them in the picture. It was mystical and impressive to the guests. Thanks for everything."
