Boathouse at Grand Lake 1112 Main Street, Celina, OH 45822

"Dropped my boat off April 28th 2024. Took 8 weeks to look at it. They said they repaired it, charged me almost $900 for dumping fuel out of tank and new fuel filter and plugs. Took out first attempt after said repair and it ran worse than when I dropped off. So after 2 more weeks and said they fixed again, I took back out on lake and this time it ran for 10 minutes before it broke down again. So, back it went again. Not one time, did anyone ever contact me to give me updates, I always had to call and then I would get responses like “we are working on it” or “ we are trying to figure out how to do it”. I would leave messages for the owner, never call me back. I started to then communicate through email to document my attempts and would have to continually forward or ask multiple times for updates. I finally gave up and lost an entire summer with my boat. Picked it up on August 16th in worse shape than I left it, with a dead battery because they left key on and master on. Very poorly ran establishment, very poor communication and very poor attention to detail and professionalism. Clearly no one communicates in house either as when I picked the boat up, another customer was there doing the same as I. (Picking up his boat, due to lack of commitment). Beware of this shady establishment. Update: 9/3/24 I took boat to another Marina at Brookville Lake to find out that when said repair was supposedly done by The Boathouse, they stripped all but one of the threads that hold the sending unit in the top of the tank. Tried to use sheet metal screws in a poly tank then just put a bunch of silicone to try and hide it. Some serious Bush league repair attempt. What a joke!!!!"
