Madison Township is actively working to enhance the community through the development of a comprehensive plan. We invite all residents to participate in a brief survey to share their perspectives on what matters most for the future of our township. The survey takes approximately 10 minutes to complete, and your input is invaluable.

Please be advised of our new parking resolution (Resolution #24-053), which prohibits parking motor vehicles and trailers on township roads in the unincorporated areas of Madison Township. Additionally, resolution 22-067 has been adopted to reaffirm the ban on discharging, igniting, or exploding fireworks within the township, declared as an emergency measure for safety.

We would like to inform residents that Brotzman's Nursery is currently closed for leaf drop-off, with a tentative reopening scheduled for this fall. Please also take note of the Lake County Utilities Flushing Notice from August 19 to August 28, 2024.

With a winter storm approaching, we encourage residents to sign up for the Wireless Emergency Notification System (WENS) to stay informed and safe. Registration is quick and can be completed at www.lakeohioalert.com.

The Madison Township Board of Trustees reminds residents that driving golf carts on all public roadways is illegal. Additionally, a new noise resolution was adopted on June 13, 2023, which can be viewed on our website.

For any issues with traffic control devices, such as damaged or missing signs, please report them immediately to the Madison Township Police at 440-428-2116.

We offer various community programs and services, including the 2024 Brush & Yard Waste Drop-Off Program, mailbox replacement policies, and special assessments for shoreline erosion. Madison Township also assists with distributing Potassium Iodide and offers free rides to senior centers through Laketran.

Our trustees, Ken Gauntner, Pete Wayman, and Max Anderson, are committed to recognizing community achievements. Recently, they honored Madison resident Lydia Gross with a Special Resolution for her 2022 Community Impact Award from the Cleveland Legal Aid Society.

We celebrated the 100th anniversary of Madison Country Club, the longest continuously operating business in the township, at our November 12, 2023, Trustees Meeting. We also thank John Rogers, Executive Director of the Lake County Landbank, for his efforts in improving our community.
