"Clay's corner is an institution indirectly connected with John C Campbell Folk School because it is the first thing you see as you approach the turn to the school and it's the only place around there to grab a candy bar or fill your gas tank. However, it is disgraceful that it has been let run down so much. I must admit I had a delicious foot long hot dog at the food trailer outside the store. Expensive but tasty. This is a plea to the owners to preserve this bit of history."

"I live out of State and came to visit my Parents who recently moved into the area. I stopped by this store because I heard so much about it. Such friend down to earth people. A great little southern hospitality store. Great place to just stop and relax for just a bit."

"It's ashame to find out this place is permanently closed. Everytime my friend and I would go to North Carolina, eventualy we would head to Brasstown and stop in for a few laughs, music and a soda at Clay's Corner. You never know what you would find at the, 'O Possum Capital of the World'. A very unique place for sure. As you would imagine, there claim to fame, is to know everything about possums."
