"June 19, 2024 Went for a Garfield Birthday Party that was posted on their website. Nine days prior to the event, I emailed and asked about registration. I was told there was none and to just come. I took my 9 year old son and his friend. Drove for over 30 minutes to get to the library to be told upon entering that they were "at capacity" and couldn't accept any more people. When I explained that I had specifically asked about registration, I was brushed away with "I can't let anyone else in due to fire code". I accept fire code, I understand how important it is. What I don't understand and am not accepting of, is the library's inability to accommodate in any other way, or to have placed a registration cap on the event if they had a limit to how many people could attend. I emailed the individual that I had contacted beforehand and was forwarded to another person who did apologize (the only reason it is 2 stars instead of 1), but only wanted to "make it up to us" by having me drive back to the library for a "private tour" and a "small gift". If that is what I wanted I would have come on any given day, not on the Garfield Birthday Party day. This may not be how regular patrons are treated, but this was my experience as a visitor! Soooooo disappointed, we will not be returning."

"Visited this library for the first time during the day... it's lovely. The children's section is huge and includes a large play area. The parking lot is big and the bathrooms are large and clean. I would strongly recommend this library to anyone, but especially if you have young children!"
