Exciting news! We are hosting an open house for the sale of our property on September 1st, 2024, from Noon to 2 PM Central Standard Time. Please note that we are in the Central Time Zone, the same as Chicago. If you're visiting from Michigan or anywhere east of us, please adjust your schedule accordingly.

"It was like visiting a friend who has a wonderful farm. Nothing commercial about it. Very charming. No rush. Fed the horses, goats and donkeys by hand. Brushed a pregnant Clydesdale. Also picked up a few gifts. This is a great experience at a very reasonable cost. We will be back and we will bring others."

"A small, but super cute place. Our girls loved it, and Sandy Acres was a great way to kick off our week! The horses are all so friendly and doing the VIP & spending the extra is worth it. The girls all fed an animal and finally got over the fear of the large horses and leaned in! The minis and goats are adorbs."
"Sandy Acres Clydesdales La Porte Indiana: You can tell that this is not just a business for these folks, this is a true love affair. The lady who showed us around was the owner. She and her daughter were extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. It's hard to explain how truly large and magnificent these animals are until you are standing next to them! The one that we were petting and brushing was approximately 1,800 lb and well over my 5' 10" head! We also spent time with a miniature donkey and her baby, some chickens, goats and a pair of young Clydesdale that we're just being weaned from their mothers. You spent about an hour enjoying the various animals on the property and at no time did we feel rushed, so it's not an all day thing but it's well worth your time."
"I just visited here today. The people here are so friendly and caring. The horses are beautiful. I added pictures of some of the horses to show you what I mean. We came up here from Greenwood. Long trip so my wife could fullfil one of the things on her Bucket List. She wanted to sit on a Clydesdale. That's all. Just sit. They made this a wonderful event for her. Really impressed me. I added some pictures of the people with the horses and of the place. Put one in of how happy my wife was. Check out their website and possibly take a tour."
