Located at 126 East 3rd Street, Room 29, in the historic Coliseum Building of Mount Vernon, Indiana, the Purdue Extension Office is your gateway to a wealth of resources aimed at improving lives and livelihoods in Posey County. Nestled in the southwesternmost corner of Indiana, our county is beautifully bordered by the Wabash and Ohio Rivers and boasts attractions like Harmonie State Park, Historic New Harmony, and Hovey Lake. We are also home to the Ports of Indiana-Mt. Vernon, the seventh largest inland port complex in the nation.

As a proud part of one of the nation’s largest providers of scientific research-based information and education, the Purdue Extension Office focuses on delivering tested and trusted educational resources across four primary areas: Agriculture and Natural Resources, Human and Health Sciences, Economic and Community Development, and 4-H Youth Development.
