"Sad, embarrassing. Wt is the mayor doing it don’t take these many years to clean up cut down all these over grown weeds. Buildings need demolishing. Ghost town for most part. Don’t need promises that never exist. Stop talking an kick in."

"Welcome to what is described as a very dangerous city. I enjoyed two days of exploring the past of what was once a great City. As you enter the city there is no doubt that there is despair amongst what you're looking at. Numerous locations completely overgrown, buildings in abundance which are abandoned and just basically run down to the point where some of them are actually falling in on themselves. I did encounter numerous people throughout the businesses I stopped at, all of which were friendly with me. There was no point where I felt unsafe driving around the city, including the fact I made it a point to drive into the low income areas just to explore the architecture of the old buildings. It's not suggested that one make this a destination unless there's something of interest to that person. The reality is there is not much there for visitors. Sadly what was once a beautiful city is now almost a wasteland. It's a shame that the people who live there don't have the resources to clean the area or at least keep of the main area which is Broadway Street inviting, which it is definitely not. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed today's exploring and photographing some of the buildings. I've added some of my photos which were taken by a cell phone only and no interior shots of any of the buildings that I explored enjoy my trip and met so many nice people while exploring the city."
