Founded by Saint Mother Theodore Guerin, the Sisters of Providence are a dedicated community of Catholic women committed to prayer, education, service, and advocacy. Their rich history and deep spirituality infuse every corner of the park, offering a unique experience for people of all faiths.
As you wander through the Stations of the Cross Path, you'll encounter beautifully crafted sculptures depicting the final hours of Jesus Christ. These stations, originally made in Munich, Germany, and installed in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, now grace the tranquil setting of Sacred Heart Grove. Each station provides a moment for prayer, reflection, and inspiration.
The park is a haven for those seeking spiritual renewal or simply a peaceful retreat. Whether you're attending Easter Brunch at O’Shaughnessy or visiting for a quiet day of reflection, we encourage you to take the time to pray at these sacred stations.
The Sisters of Providence warmly welcome single Catholic women aged 18-42 to explore a fulfilling life as a Sister of Providence. Additionally, all women and men of faith are invited to join the family of Providence as Providence Associates, contributing to a more just and hope-filled world.
For those interested in further involvement, opportunities abound to volunteer, intern at the White Violet Center, or explore job opportunities within the Providence Community.
