Dr. Ryan Plank is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with a specialization in sports medicine, work-related injuries, general orthopedics, and upper extremity concerns. Since joining Lakeshore Bone & Joint Institute in 2011, Dr. Plank has dedicated himself to helping patients of all ages restore their function and quality of life. His surgical proficiency encompasses a wide range of procedures, including shoulder and knee arthroscopy, ACL reconstruction, meniscal repair, ankle and wrist fracture surgery, shoulder and knee replacement, carpal tunnel release, and rotator cuff repair.
An Indiana native with a strong educational background, Dr. Plank completed his undergraduate studies in science at the University of Notre Dame and earned his medical degree from Indiana University. His training continued with an orthopedic surgery internship and residency at Tripler Army Medical Center in Hawaii, followed by service as a staff orthopedic surgeon at Winn Army Community Hospital in Georgia.
Outside of his professional commitments, Dr. Plank is an avid sports enthusiast, enjoying both competitive and recreational activities. He is a dedicated follower of Notre Dame football and cherishes time spent with his family.
