Our Leadership

Pastor Dr. Charlie E. Dates discovered his passion for preaching at a young age, delivering his first sermon at just 17. His journey in ministry includes serving in campus ministry during his college years and gaining invaluable experience under Reverend Dr. K. Edward Copeland at New Zion Baptist Church. Today, Pastor Dates continues to lead Salem Baptist Church with a dynamic approach to faith and community engagement.

Pastoral Care

We are committed to supporting our congregation through various pastoral care services, including Prayer Requests, Bereavement Care, Sick & Shut-In Care, and Counseling. Our dedicated team is here to provide comfort and guidance during times of need.

Our Ministries

Salem Baptist Church offers a range of ministries designed to nurture and grow our community's faith and fellowship. Programs include:

- Salem Kids & Teens: Engaging the younger members of our congregation in meaningful discipleship.

- Discipleship GrowU: Encouraging personal spiritual development and learning.

- Black Boy Lit: Celebrating and empowering young Black boys through literature and mentorship.
