"I was working on bidding on a foreclosure I was told by the real estate agent that conventional and cash offers were the only two that would pass according to the bank so I got pre approved for conventional and had a construction loan for any renovation work needed. So I got all the paperwork together and placed my bid. The bid was submitted everything was good. So then after hours I was contacted by the agent and was told that the loan could not have a appraisal required. So I was questioning why can’t it be appraised because any conventional loan would require appraisal? Then I wanted to get contact with either the asset manager or the bankroll find out why. I was told that they did not know the bank and refused to give me information on the asset manager. Five minutes later I’m told it’s cash only offers now and their was nothing I could do. I was also told that the home would have a bidding period of 10 days, the home was posted on a Saturday. I was then told the deadline was the following Thursday and then told the deadline was Friday. Keep in mind all the requirements that were changing from the bank was at 8pm when the bank was already closed. So I contact the owner of the agency and was pretty much told their was nothing they could do for me. I would have been completely fine if by had been placed correctly and if would’ve lost the bid to a higher bidder. This was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had."
