Capital One

"I have been a customer of Capital One since it was ING. I’ve had numerous accounts for savings, CD’s and two mortgages. I opened a small business checking account in April. They recently closed it and will not explain why! I spent about an hour or more being transferred from one person to another and could get no answers, explaining to me that it’s on the website and they would be sending me a letter. In the meantime, I couldn’t transfer the almost $4000 in the account to one of my others, they told me they’d send me a paper check!!! This is an outrageous way to treat any customer, let alone someone who’s long term. I have transferred several of my accounts to another bank and will be closing each one once the CD’s mature. Bad business practices and bad communication! Find another bank to trust your money with!"

"I was new to credit and opened my first credit card with a capital one secured card. A year later and a 740 credit score average across the 3 credit bureaus and credit wise and every time I apply for a new card I get told I’m denied because I have too many capital one accounts. I only have the 1 secured card with them, never been late n never missed a payment n have very good credit. I have unsecured cards with discover , chase and mission lane and with my income n credit history I can get approved for almost every card in their system. Nobody has answers , even multiple supervisors. I live in a state that doesn’t require me to disclose that I’m recording the conversations so it’s not hard to prove that they just don’t want to do any work. I just paid my balance off n will be making them aware I want my $200 back n will not be doing any further business with them. If you work for capital one, you are re re and I feel sorry for your mother."

"I applied for this sparks business credit card stating I need up to approximately 60k per month. It started off really well , i had access to the money I need and was earning 2% on it. First month being like 30k-40k and paid in full a few days before the due date , I pay my bill in full every time I was asked , never late and never short . Now the card limit is a complete unknown , with every month's limit being less then the month prior. Not only that but I have to make multiple payments per month . That doesn't even make sense! You send me a statement once a month I pay once a month right , nope ! Several agents told me " make multiple payments per month " cool , send me multiple statements , also nope. " They don't do that " . I have to find out on a daily basis if I'm able to use my card for business purchases. Which is most of the time denied for every large purchase. It is a business line of credit that I'm not able to use for business purchases, imagine that ... there is not even a notification or alert of some type to let me know I'm getting close to my spending limit what ever it may be this month . Again , ever month is a surprise. This card is a joke and I am actively looking for another business card ."

"TWO THUMBS DOWN!!! Capital one will give you a credit card...and never take your line of credit up. I've had Capital one for years. I paid them through this whole pandemic before time, extra and 3 times more than my minimum monthly amount and this is my first time ever asking for to up my credit line and they denied me. They said I haven't been making large enough payments... 3 times my minimum isn't large enough WHAT!!! Then if I pay off the card or stop using it my credit line will eventually go down and my credit will to. After I pay off Capital One I'm canceling them, they are useless. If u just want a small basic credit card to help your credit at first get it but if you want to continue to build, THIS ISNT THE CREDIT CARD FOR YOU"

"Opened up a credit card and since i had other accounts that I forgot my password too the system would not allow me to set up online with new credit card. I chose the help support icon on screen and began talking to Jay Michael a online customer support representative. Listen I now have my online set up and he knew his stuff. Very satisfied I spoke with him."
