"No doubt the passing of my mother and making arrangements was the hardest and most emotional life changing experience I’ve gone through. Not knowing what to do and how to put things together, just wanted to honor my mom in death as I did in life. I went to Bennie Smith funeral home an hour after she passed and met with Ms. Candace. She was professional, kind and compassionate.She was patient as she got me through my tears. I explained to her how I wanted my mom to be celebrated and she made my version come true. Although I had some anxiety they were soon put to rest when I saw all the arrangements come together. Everything from the program/obituary, prayer cards, memorial display and the ballon tribute… absolutely beautiful!!! It was more than I imagined. My mother would have been proud. Thank you Bennie Smith for making this transition less stressful and a “celebration of life “that will be held near and dear to the hearts of the family and love ones."

"Bennie Smith Funeral Home offered a great experience during a challenging time. My dad died at 8:15 PM. By 9:30 PM, I had successfully reached the funeral home to begin the process of having his body picked up. They said a funeral director would call the next morning. Jewel Tatuem called at 9:05 AM. That started a week of consistent communication with her as we made plans for the viewings and funeral. She was quick to respond via text, email and phone. She was patient and showed compassion throughout the planning stages. Jewel arranged a pre-viewing so that we could approve of how my dad looked in the casket. I wanted his hair combed differently and Jewel had it taken care of before the public viewing. The flower arrangements, cards and portrait all looked great. The local staff at the Bennie Hill Funeral Home in Easton were also quite helpful. They made sure everyone signed the registry and wore masks. They also helped give the family privacy towards the end of the viewing when the casket was closed. This was my second time working with Bennie Smith and my first time working with Jewel Tatuem. You will be in good hands working with her. She went above and beyond to give us personalized care, including a special unrequested touch that honored my dad's favorite color. While I hope to not plan any more funerals in the near future, Jewel will be my go to if the need arises."
