"I went to a memorial service at the Wilmington location on Saturday 6/22/24 during the heat wave. The air conditioning was not working and it was unbearably hot in there. I would think that the staff would have made accommodations for us such as to bring in electric fans once they knew the air wasn't working. We were given paper fans to fan ourselves instead. The other thing people should know is that there is no parking lot, only on street parking. Something to consider should you be in need of funeral services."

"I have attended three Homegoing Services that Evan Smith Funeral Services were in charge. They were truly compassionate along with lots of empathy for the family members. They get an A+ for making the deceased skin color look natural along with a facial expression of resting in peace. I attended a Service for my son-in-law recently and the attendants that were in charge were as usual compassionate, but they really went above and beyond to make my granddaughter, her mother and the family members feel comfortable. I remember seeing two ladies whom showed professionalization in a most kind way with sweet facial expressions. There was also TWO YOUNG MEN who could have written the book on How to be Professional with Empathy. They did their job so well, one did not have to ask who they were because of the way they conducted the Service. SUPERBLY is the ONLY word I can think of to describe their actions and their demeaner. One of them, was named Raheem and I apologize to the other gentleman that I wasn't blessed to get his name however, I have make an appointment to make arrangements for my husband and myself. "Professional, compassionate, masterful work. I appreciate each and every staff member that I engaged. Each encounter was pleasant. When I came to see my mother for the last time before she was flown home to NC, she was beautiful beyond expectation. She truly looked as if she was sleeping. She was dressed perfectly and every detail was attended to. If I remain in DE, I will make my own final arrangements with them to spare my children that process. THANK YOU! I cannot thank you enough."
