"I had my ACL redone and half of my meniscus removed. Brad and his team have gone above and beyond to say the least. He did everything he said I am off to a solid recovery. Couldn't be more thankful. If I had to do it again I wouldn't change a thing!"

"Smart, skilled, humble and relatable. We entrusted the care of two sons to Brad (one requiring surgery for a knee injury, and the other, diagnosis and care of a shoulder injury) and think he is amazing. Our sons really like him and he excels with the needs and mindsets of athletes."

"Where do I even begin… I had surgery in June, 2022. I had osteochondral defects in my knee. Surgery to repair the defect was done. When I began having significant swelling after my knee gave out in my kitchen in Dec, I went to the urgent care, I was told to use pain gel, then I was told it was bursitis and then I was told I had a stress fracture… all of which were untrue. Yet he had me on crutches for two months. Bone marrow edema is common after the type of surgery I had for up to a year or longer (I have since read medical journals about it). The provider simply wanted me to be on crutches and blamed my PT for the issue. Knowing the diagnosis was incorrect, I went to another provider. We did a minimally invasive procedure and he uncovered a torn meniscus, hanging soft cartilage from one of the grafts, and an almost completely torn acl. He was able to take care of the meniscus and dead piece of cartilage right away and now I’m scheduled for ACL reconstruction. When I spoke to the provider at Reconstructive about all of this, he dismissed me. He contradicted himself saying in one breath he didn’t believe I have an acl tear and in another he said he does not believe my new provider would just say I have a tear when I do not. I also expressed how I did not appreciate him telling me not to gain weight as a way to help my knees (in one appointment he said I have a grade 3 meniscus tear in the other knee and now he says it is a grade 2…umm meniscus tears do not improve on their own). Moreover, I am not overweight and BMI is an incredibly outdated measurement to utilize/assess a patients weight. Additionally, when a provider keeps putting a patient on crutches without finding the real knee problem, weight is hard to keep off. This provider does not seem to care about mental health or the toll all of these things take on a person. His notes are often inconsistent or incorrect as well. Dr. Brad Bernardini, please slow down a little bit. Things were missed and it’s not one persons fault, it’s a combination of factors. Please do better, some of us actually educate ourselves as a way to be able to get better and to advocate for ourselves. I never thought I would find articles showing evidence you were wrong and I never thought two providers would tell me what you said didn’t make sense (one teaches on the very procedure you did on me and was my orthopedic doctor for over a decade in another state). I just hope you remember my case for the next patient who comes in and has no improvement…please look deeper next time."

"Recon Orthopedics is the best experience I’ve ever had as far as Drs groups and the process beginning to end being a smooth, problem less process. Dr. Bernardini is absolutely amazing. He answers all of your questions, without rushing you through the process and his presence is just warming and welcoming from the second he walks into the room. I’ve really had a great experience. I’m still in recovery but it has been 5 star treatment thus far."
