About the Business

Old Pine Farm Natural Lands Trust

Welcome to Old Pine Farm Natural Lands Trust, a serene oasis nestled at 340 Pine Avenue, Deptford, New Jersey. Our park, located on the picturesque banks of Big Timber Creek, offers a unique blend of natural beauty and community engagement.

Old Pine Farm spans over 50 acres of diverse terrain, including meadows, woodlands, and wetlands, providing a sanctuary for both wildlife and visitors. This protected area is one of the few remaining natural landscapes along the developed tidal portion of Big Timber Creek, making it a precious asset to the Deptford Township community.

We are committed to preserving and enhancing the natural environment, with ongoing efforts to expand our greenway. Our goal is to connect Old Pine Farm to a larger trail network and create a green corridor from the headwaters of Big Timber Creek to the Delaware River.

Join us for a variety of engaging programs and events throughout the year. Whether you're interested in learning about the sweet pawpaw fruit, exploring local insect species with our knowledgeable interns, or enjoying art shows like "The Oddities of a Quirky Mind," there's something for everyone. Events are typically held at the historic Willoughby House, which is part of the trust and located at the end of Pine Avenue. Admission is free, and all ages are welcome.

For the latest updates and event details, please visit our Facebook page or contact us via text at 856-340-3208. We encourage carpooling, and free parking is available on-site.

Discover the natural charm and community spirit of Old Pine Farm Natural Lands Trust, where every visit offers a chance to connect with nature and neighbors alike.

"A great place to hike along the upper tidal section of Big Timber Creek. Look for ospreys and eagles hunting in the creek during high tide. Trails go through field, wetlands, along creek and through forest of large oaks, beech, tulip poplar and Va pine trees. Paw paw and locust trees near historic 1700 house."

"If you are looking for an easy stroll through a beautiful preserve, you will enjoy Old Pine Farm. The hiking trail loop is just under a mile. There are benches along the way to sit and enjoy the scenery."

"This is a great place to spend some time enjoying nature. As a member, you can kayak, pick raspberries and pawpaws, and explore the trails. They also have educational events for free. It’s a private property, so it’s best to reach out on Facebook before arriving!"
