Welcome to Groveville United Methodist Church, a vibrant and welcoming faith community located at 447 Church Street, Trenton, New Jersey. Established in 1836, our church has been the cornerstone of the Groveville community, devoted to living out the teachings of Jesus through faith, family, friendship, service, and love.
Join us for our Sunday worship service at 11:00 AM, followed by a friendly "Coffee Hour" across the street in Fellowship Hall, where you can enjoy conversation and refreshments. Our church is not just a place of worship but a hub of community activities, including church and community dinners, flea markets, craft sales, and seasonal soup and bake sales. Groveville United Methodist Church is proud of its rich traditions, such as our annual Thanksgiving Breakfast, a cherished event that has been a part of our community for over a century. We also host the beloved community Christmas Tree lighting, complete with refreshments and a visit from Santa.
Our mission extends beyond our immediate community. We partner with Pearson Memorial Church, supporting their food pantry that serves over 100 families monthly, and Church by the Bay, providing clothing and food to those in need in Salem, Atlantic City, Bridgeton, and Trenton. Together, we strive to bring the grace and love of God to those who need it most.
Did you know that Groveville is home to the second oldest, continuously running Memorial Day parade in the United States? Since 1870, the Groveville/Yardville Memorial Day Parade has been a community-led event, starting at Dover Park Plaza and concluding with a ceremony at Groveville Cemetery.
At Groveville United Methodist, we believe in sharing God's love and nurturing faith through Biblically-based sermons and practical tools for spiritual growth. We are a community of believers eager to welcome you and share our journey in faith.

"Ive never met a better group of people. Hometown classic Methodist church that makes everyone, guests especially, feel included. Fairly music based. Always a place for families and especially children. The Sunday School program has never lacked in schooling and inclusivity. Very well managed from terms of their board to their clergy. This congregation has always been the most accepting and generous I've experienced from special collections for various 501(c)3s to hosting a brunch for a community member in need. You really couldnt ask for a better and more accepting family."
