You could have ignored him and his fear of shots; you could have gone about your duties and never-minded about why someone so big could be so childlike and innocent; you could have forgotten — or never knew — what it means for someone like him to gather strength and courage, what it takes a parent to help. But instead, you reached out so wonderfully, so beautifully and promised him a chance to look at the firetrucks after his jab. And for that, he readily and eagerly found his bravery. And you gave him a tour that so delighted him. The photo of him in one of your jackets made me cry huge tears of joy. Thank you so much, all of you who made such a special event happen for a very special soul. You yourselves are amazing. May you stay safe and stay healthy. May you know joy like you gave him."
