"Update 6/26/2024: Thank you owner for your response. Just to clarify, it was not busy that day. Regardless, people should feel respected at all times. Your shop’s cash-only policy can inconvenience patrons, so it’s inevitable that sometimes coins will be used. We will give Leo’s another chance as we support local businesses. If similar issues arise again, we will update you here. Thanks! ————————————————————- Looking for a response from the owner: I visit Leo’s Yum Yum often because it’s convenient, but I have a concern. Since you only accept cash, I sometimes use dollar coins because I can’t justify driving out of my way to a bank ATM. I also avoid non-bank ATMs due to security concerns. Recently, when I paid with dollar coins, I felt like the staff were unhappy about it. I apologized and explained that this was the only cash I had on hand, but their response felt dismissive. Given your cash-only policy, it’s inconvenient for customers, and it’s frustrating to feel unwelcome for using coins. Is there an issue with using coins at your shop? I want to keep supporting your business, but I also want to feel respected when I do. If I can get clarity on this and know my business is appreciated, I’m happy to update my review."
"Amazing. Really amazing! More ice cream than is displayed (take a look at the ice cream board). The texture and the taste is like every ice cream dreams of being. Plenty of parking and they are generous with their scoops. I love that the folks scooping the ice cream politely requested that maskless people put masks on. Only one warning: Cash only!"
"This place reminded me so much of my childhood when I went back! The decor is perfection, with the history of the ice cream shop all over the walls and shelves. The ice cream is so amazing! I’ve never had other ice cream that is even close to how good Leo’s is. I had the Sinatra ice cream during my visit, which is chocolate chip with peaches. It was unbelievably delicious!! And the people are always as friendly as can be. I wish I could give it more stars! Go here!!!"
