"Arrived an alarming 45 minutes early to this dump of a station, with police cars and flashing lights outside. Tried 8 different electrical outlets for a phone charge and none worked. Asked the on-site police if he knew of a working charger and he said they probably turned the electric off! Is Wilmington so broke that the President’s home state station can’t afford electricity to train passengers? He suggested I buy a charging canister in the station."
"Beautiful city area and very clean near the train station. Clean and mostly quiet from what we've seen. Reminds you of Columbia, MD. Will come back and stay for a few days just to tour the city life."
"If Wilmington doesn’t get credit for anything else, it has an amazing train station. I always forget to travel by train, but I think that keeps the excitement in each trip. Now traveling as an adult with my own children, this train station and the entire Amtrak experience is just as I remembered when I was a kid. The train station itself is well-kept, even though there are places that are closed inside or minor renovations. Regardless, the seats are seemingly comfortable and the staff are pretty friendly which is a huge sigh of relief compared to dealing with the airport and TSA nightmares."
