"I visited Rob’s on Sunday August 4,2024 and was not happy . I spent over $48.00 . We bought two platters one red snapper one ox tail Large. I don’t know what’s goin on the food is not the same as it use to be at Rumors! The yams were canned, the ox tales were supposed to be a large portion. I got seven bones. Three ox tails were just bones no meat to found in the platter! The old Bar food was much better, now it’s mediocre at best. I tried to call but no answer to complain.Hopefully you take this constructive criticism and revamp how you sell and prepare your food. Please get back to serving the food with the same standards as you use to!"

"New to Jersey so I was not familiar with Rob's from any previous experience (as referenced in some of the other reviews). Tried the oxtail platter with rice and beans, cabbage, and potato salad. The cabbage needed a tad more seasoning or salt for my taste, but i thoroughly enjoyed everything else. I liked that the oxtail wasn't spicy and more of a sweet flavor to it. They were tender and the portion size was fair. I'll be back!"

"Robs’Kitchen has The Best Curried Chicken on the planet earth! It was seasoned to perfection,tender and the portion was generous! I love how they chop/cut their meats! Their customer service was very courteous and pleasant as well! I will continue my weekly visit to try all dishes that coincide with my diet and I will encourage family and friends to try them as well! This cuisine is a “great plus”to our restaurant community! Delicious sides as well!"

"I visited Rob’s today and was not pleased. I spent over $45 on two platters and I’m highly disappointed. I don’t know who the new cooks are but everything was sweet from the potato salad , mac salad and the mild sauce , the chicken was dry and under seasoned ended up just throwing my food away. Food does not taste the same as when they were at Rumors Bar it’s mediocre at best. Hopefully you take this constructive criticism and revamp I want the restaurant to succeed because we don’t have many good Jamaican /Soul Food spots but please get back to serving the food with the same standards as before."

"I went to Rob's Kitchen on July 6th. I placed a order for Jerk Chicken, Rice & Beans and Cabbage. I received my food and the portions were pathetic. I actually showed someone working there what I received and they responded I received a chicken breast. I received several pieces of chop chicken that mostly bone. The Jerk Chicken didn't taste like authentic jerk chicken, I have travel to Jamaica and have eaten at Scotchs so I know the difference. The prices are totally out of line for the portions you receive and the venue that is available to sit down and eat. I waited over 30 minutes to receive this food which ended up being very substandard. Lastly, the bathroom was horrible and you see soap in the soap dispenser that appeared to be their years. The dispenser is clear for who are wondering. I have given this establishment 1 star because there isn't the option to given them none. I will never eat here again or recommend this place to anyone."
