Welcome to Top o' the Barn Thrift Shop!
Located at 15 Raritan River Road in the charming town of Califon, New Jersey, Top o' the Barn Thrift Shop is more than just a store—it's a mission-driven initiative of the Califon United Methodist Church, dedicated to supporting our community. Our historic church warmly welcomes everyone, and through our thrift shop, we generate funds to assist community members and organizations in need.
Store Hours & Donation Guidelines:
Our store is open every Saturday from 10 AM to 2 PM. We invite you to explore our diverse selection of gently used and new clothing, household items, and unique accessories. For those looking to contribute, we accept donations on Saturdays between 1 PM and 3 PM. Please ensure you speak with a volunteer before dropping off your items. We kindly request that you limit donations to two containers or two kitchen-sized garbage bags to help us efficiently sort through your generous contributions.
Items We Accept:
We welcome gently used, clean clothing, and new clothing, with a preference for current fashion wear for both men and women. However, please note that we do not accept car seats, high chairs, cribs, baby toys, recalled items, or textbooks. Textbooks can be donated across the street from the train station in Califon, provided they have an ISBN barcode.
Our Offerings:
Our shop has evolved since its inception in 1979, now spanning two floors with a cozy coffee area for your enjoyment. The downstairs section offers an exceptional selection of household items and jewelry, along with seasonal decorations for holidays such as Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. We strive to provide an enjoyable shopping experience with a wide range of merchandise.
Customer Rewards & Payment Options:
We accept credit cards and offer a convenient central electronic cash register. Customers can also earn points toward future purchases, making each visit even more rewarding.

Excellent for clothes for men and women and housewares, kitchen accessories, and home decor. They don’t sell furniture, for the most part. Tons of unique finds and the prices cannot be beat.
