Steve installed smoke detectors and a carbon monoxide detector because my mother is elderly and could not do it herself. "The "absolutely worst" real estate transaction I have ever experienced. No keys and no garage door openers provided at close. Steve's solution was to provide a lock set from the local hardware store and leave it on the floor next to the front door. He had no clue if the propane tank was part of the property or not. While I am not a fan of "dual agency", it seemed Steve could do the job in the beginning, but quickly after the contract was signed, it was obvious who he really represented. He even suggested I make a deposit totally $10,000 in escrow to keep the seller happy.
