"Shady diagnosis practices. However I gave 2 stars because they did have professional communication and showed up within the week. My full story: Armstrong charges $160 to come out and 'diagnose' the problem before giving a service estimate. They came out to diagnose my water pressure issues and, without touching a single pipe or measuring the pressure anywhere, declared the issue was the PRV. If the issue did not require looking at the house, I would have preferred the estimate over the phone, without a fee. Feeling uneasy about their quick judgement, I called the water company to double check the water pressure external to my home. After they came, my pressure improved, without touching the PRV at all. I'm glad I did my due-diligence before spending $800 to fix a non-issue, but I feel like that due-diligence should have been done by Armstrong for the $160 I paid."

"Title: Extremely Disappointing Service and Unjustified Charges I recently had an extremely frustrating experience with Armstrong Plumbing Company while dealing with a malfunctioning Bradford White water heater. Here’s a summary of the issues I faced: Unnecessary and Lengthy Diagnostics: Despite the LED status indicators clearly showing an issue with the gas control valve, the service engineer spent nearly two hours testing the gas pressure, which was unnecessary as there were no issues with the gas supply (both the furnace and stove were working fine). This extensive and irrelevant testing seemed like a tactic to inflate the service time and charges. Lack of Transparency and Communication: Before starting the work, I was informed of a $139 diagnostic fee, which would be waived if they serviced the unit. However, I was charged $189 for the diagnostic test without prior notice or justification for the additional cost. Exorbitant Repair Quote: After finally confirming the gas valve needed replacement, Armstrong Plumbing provided a quote of $550 for the replacement, even though the part was covered under warranty. This quote was ridiculously high, especially compared to the $250 quoted by another plumber, who resolved the issue efficiently in just 30 minutes. Unprofessional Service: The service engineer appeared to lack the necessary knowledge and arrived with non-functional tools. This not only wasted time but also contributed to the overall frustration. In summary, my experience with Armstrong Plumbing Company was highly disappointing. Their service was unprofessional, their charges were unjustified, and their lack of transparency was unacceptable. I strongly advise others to seek more reliable and fair service providers. I will not be using their services again and recommend caution to anyone considering Armstrong Plumbing Company."

"I was given Armstrong’s number from a neighbor as we were in a self inflicted pickle and needed fast service so we could get an occupancy permit in order to close on the sale of our house. Not only were that at our house within a couple of hours, they did the work and got the permits and inspections ordered in time for our closing and did it all for a very reasonable price. Everyone I spoke with was very helpful and the whole experience was very pleasant. Highly recommend."

"Tried to install a tub much smaller than the previous, then cut through the floor joist while doing the drain. Took weeks to get everything remedied so I could bathe in my own home. They did eventually pay for the repairs though."

Richard was very professional and provided a reasonable estimate, less than another company who quoted identical work. They were very quick and professional with their estimate and work and provided consistent updates. They answered the phone when we called, which was appreciated. I would definitely recommend them for your next plumbing project."
