About the Business
Welcome to St. James Lutheran Church, located at 146 North Main Street in Glen Carbon, Illinois. As a vibrant community of faith, we are dedicated to worship, fellowship, and spiritual growth. Upcoming Event: Join us for "The Nature of Christian Warfare" on the Fifteenth Sunday after Pentecost, September 1st. In a world filled with conflict, we believe that the true battle is fought not with fists or guns, but with the gospel of Jesus. Following our worship service, we will hold a congregational voter's meeting at 10:45 AM.
Youth Engagement: We invite all junior and senior high youth (grades 6-12) to join us every Wednesday evening at 6:30 PM for a time of worship, Bible reading, prayer, games, and community. It's a great opportunity to grow in faith and make new friends.
Adult and Children’s Education: Every Sunday at 10:45 AM, we offer an Adult Bible Study and Children's Sunday School downstairs. These sessions provide a deeper understanding of scripture and foster a sense of community among participants.
Community Groups: Our Community Groups are small gatherings that meet in various locations, such as coffee shops, homes, or the church itself. These groups offer a chance for fellowship, scripture study, and prayer, enhancing spiritual growth in an intimate setting.
