About the Business

St Margaret's Outreach

Welcome to St. Margaret's Community Outreach

Located at 606 Newnan Street in Carrollton, Georgia, St. Margaret’s Community Outreach is a vital ministry of St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church, established in 1991. Our mission is to bring help and hope to the most vulnerable individuals and families in our community and beyond.

Our Programs

- Loads of Love: This unique laundry program, held 1-2 times every month, supports individuals experiencing financial crises. We visit local laundromats and a nearby hotel to cover laundry costs, providing essential relief to those in need.

- Family Support Initiative: A new, innovative program that partners with families to navigate their way out of homelessness and into sustainable living, recognizing that it takes a village to create lasting change.

Community and Global Partnerships

St. Margaret’s is deeply committed to fostering connections both locally and globally. Our Episcopal Evangelism Commission supports this mission through:

- Diocesan-Level Partnership: Collaborating with the Diocese of Atlanta and the Diocese of Cape Coast, Ghana.

- Parish-Level Partnership: Building a strong relationship with our Sister Parish, St. Teresa’s in Cape Coast, Ghana. This partnership enriches our worship and ministry, encouraging mutual support and deepened relationships.

Ministry of Racial Trust-Building

We engage in grace-filled conversations about racism’s history and impact, fostering trust, inclusion, and racial harmony within our congregation and the broader community.

Community Support

Our outreach extends to local healthcare workers, providing emotional support and appreciation through thoughtful gestures during challenging times.

Inclusive Community Building

Our Book Club, established in 2020, invites LGBTQIA individuals and allies to explore how the Episcopal church embraces the queer community and fosters sacred, inclusive spaces.

“Go into all the world and proclaim the good news to the whole creation.” – Book of Common Prayer, p. 366

Join us as we evolve and embrace new members through inclusive policies, diverse worship opportunities, and a commitment to community engagement and support.
