Welcome to Hospice of South Georgia, Inc., located at 42 Weaver Street, Baxley, Georgia. As a dedicated nonprofit organization, we provide compassionate clinical care, education, and supportive assistance for individuals facing life-limiting illnesses. Serving greater Wayne County and surrounding areas, our community-supported hospice program offers a holistic approach to enhance the quality of life for patients and their families.
At Hospice of South Georgia, we focus on comprehensive care, addressing medical, spiritual, and emotional needs to ensure patients live each day with dignity and comfort. Our services extend to all ages, from infants to elders, without discrimination based on age, ethnicity, or religious preference. We are committed to providing care regardless of the ability to pay, delivering services in homes, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and hospitals.
We are proud participants in the "We Honor Veterans" program, collaborating with the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization and the Department of Veterans Affairs to address the unique needs of America's Veterans and their families. Through respectful inquiry and compassionate listening, we aim to guide them toward a more peaceful end-of-life journey.
Our commitment to the community includes proactive grief support for families and an annual bereavement camp, CAMP HOPE, for students in grades 1-12 coping with significant loss. This camp provides a safe space for healing and expression, helping young individuals understand that grief is a natural response to loss.
