As a distinguished physician with subspecialty training in hand and upper extremity surgery, Dr. Arnold is dedicated to alleviating pain and restoring function for his patients. With a rich family legacy in the medical field, Dr. Arnold represents the third generation of surgeons, following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather.
Dr. Arnold's journey began in Chattanooga, where he was inspired by his family's commitment to medicine. He pursued his undergraduate studies at Furman University, where he was a dedicated rugby team member and earned a Bachelor of Arts in English. His passion for orthopaedics was solidified during his medical education at The University of Tennessee in Memphis, particularly after a transformative experience at a mission hospital in Kenya.
Following his medical degree, Dr. Arnold completed an Orthopaedic residency at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Chattanooga and further honed his expertise with a Hand fellowship at the prestigious Indiana Hand to Shoulder Center. Here, he also contributed to the academic community as a clinical instructor and conducted research on wrist reconstruction.
Dr. Arnold is not only a skilled surgeon but also a devoted family man who enjoys mountain biking and music. He and his wife, Kelly, a practicing family physician, reside in Fortwood with their three children, Vivian, William, and Coleman.
Dr. Arnold is affiliated with numerous professional organizations, including the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and the Chattanooga-Hamilton County Medical Society, among others. His practice offers a comprehensive range of services, including arthroscopic surgery, sports medicine, total joint replacement, and more.
