"Went to the ER to get looked at for abdominal and back pain. I had been to an urgent care before the ER and they told me I needed to go to get a CT scan. I got in around 5pm and the wait was maybe 10 mins to get put into a room which is great- however this is when things start to go poorly. I complete my registration on a tablet once they get my vitals, and a doctor comes in to ask me what is going on. After explaining my pain he tells me it’s emotional stress from just having a baby…. No. It absolutely wasn’t. The fact he would even say that is absurd and sexist. I have never ever EVER had that type of interaction with a male medical professional before. He then proceeded to tell me he would order the CT because the urgent care told me to get one. They then send the nurse back in after 40 minutes to get blood. The nurse proceeded to rip the rubber band so tight around my arm that it broke blood vessels in my arm and I said “OW!” and he didn’t blink or respond in any way. He left a huge mess and didn’t clean up any of the IV supplies. A female nurse came in to administer some pain medication and said she would leave the mess for him to clean up…. he never came back to clean it or check on me. He and the other nurses just sat at their station talking crap about patients. He even says “oh just pretend to care so they’ll leave you alone” and they complained about pay and discussed whether or not they would be doing travel contracts, etc. So unprofessional and to hear a medical professional tell others to just “pretend” to care? Yikes. I finally got my CT after shift change because the day shift was too lazy to actually start anything. My evening doctor, Dr. Hyun, seemed nicer than the previous but after saying they found a mass on my liver just kinda walked out with no explanation or further discussion and I was discharged."

They don’t hesitate to make sure their patients receive the best care even if it means sending them to another hospital to receive treatment they may not be equipped to handle(trauma).
