"What an amazing old cemetary where the grave stones dated back to the mid to late 1700's an many old timer veterans are laid to rest. Some of the head stones were decorated with American flags an Holiday wreaths bought by the womens club of Oak Grove Island.The yards between the old graves were mowed an well manicured. The heads stones were nestled under the many large old oak trees an spagnum moss swinging back an forth gave it a eerie creepy vibe of an long past history that once graced the town's past. We also took pictures of the many historical homes that lined the roads.Makes you think like you stepped back in there time. Most of the homes we viewed were of true period times."
