Suburban Studios Brunswick I-95

"By far the RUDEST employee I’ve ever seen in my life. My girlfriend and I had been traveling for about 12 hours, We were pumping gas, and we quickly made the reservation after seeing these pictures that look wonderful on the website(had a lower budget as wasn’t plan to get hotel haha) and it was perfect for us to push through like another hour of driving. Well around 12:09 probably like 45 minutes after making the reservation they tried charging my card… I keep my card locked sometimes when especially when traveling, and i immediately unlocked it just incase they’d try again or whatever. Didn’t think too much of it as I was only like 13 minutes away…. As we arrive, we kinda circle the building because I couldnt find where to go into a lobby or anything, and I was greeted by a Woman in the parking lot who rudely started questioning us about if we had a room there. I said well I just booked one like an hour ago, we were looking where to come check in and laughed. And she is continuing to have an attitude talking very rudely… she proceeds to tell us that she only had one reservation and their card declined and the office is closed so I can’t get a room… I said well that was my card, and it was just like 15 minutes ago, I figured since the money wasn’t taken out immediately I’d be charged when I check in or whatever. And she started getting louder with us telling us she cannot help us and is WALKING AWAY already. I had to raise my voice and yell because I was still in my truck and she just walked away lol, “excuse me i just drove like 13 hours and have barely any idea where I’m at, you can atleast like help me out and talk about this” My girlfriend also worked in a hotel for a while, and for her it was mandatory to call the person with a reservation if it declined to see if something wrong or they still want it etc etc…. And she just was yelling telling us to leave there’s other hotels( Keep in mind we picked this one because it was perfect for budget ) idk it was just absurd. SHE said she wouldn’t open the office back up to get us a room……She cussed at us after we told her how rude and horrible she was. Told us she WAS THE GM…… and we can’t call anyone…. Basically absolutely screwed us…. She needs to not work at a hotel or a job that requires dealing with other humans. She’s either a total Bi—— or scamming people by charging their cards and canceling their reservation… by not checking them into the office? Because what if my card was unlocked and the charge was for 66 when I booked for 61$….. and so when I arrived at 12:30 and had reservation she would’ve went and opened the office ? Like what kind of buisness is that."

"My husband drove from mt airy north carolina reserved his room on the way to get there and have to sleep in the truck in parking lot ,after the fact that the money was took out of his card. He knock on the attendants room and they came out and said they was going to talk to the lady no one ever came out to help him ... by reading the comments this has happened before .. if there is no one to check someone in you shouldn't be making reservations and taking people's money.."

"I didn't have a pleasant experience here. I made a reservation online and showed up to get the room, supposedly because me and my husband live in Georgia (Savannah) and carry Ga IDs, we were not able to get a room. They said they have sea island people coming and they are saving the rooms for them! But Sea Island is Georgia also! I am in town as a truck driver for a family emergency, it was inconvenient to call Choice hotel and get a refund for the room. I stayed here 3 months ago when I came in town, wasn't an issue then. They did take 100.00 deposit off card, which had to call them cause it was several days before I got it back!maybe if you pay in cash, you get it right back the next morning.. Choice hotel said they were putting the complaint on file and they even said it made no sense to deny me, i don't live in Brunswick, I have family here!"

"We are currently staying here until our house is renovated! The General Manager has told us that we can't extend our stay because she has to make room for Sea Island employees! I have made several calls to the Choice Privileges Hotline with no response or immediate rectification! I am not pleased at the fact that the General Manager is being allowed to run this place as if it's her own personal hotel!!!"

"This is the absolute worst place I have ever stayed, and I travel every weekend for work. I know no one will believe me, but there was no door on the bathroom. HOW DO YOU HAVE A ONE ROOM HOTEL ROOM WITH NO BATHROOM DOOR??? No trash can, not even a single plastic cup. There was a place to hang your clothes but no hangers. Lots of sketchy people and a guy sleeping in his truck. The rooms look like they were painted by a 2 yr old. The curtains, and mirror were so far from level it was funny. I think the same 2yr old was doing the renovations. No microwave but a huge refrigerator. A cook top but nothing else. Not quite sure how you would utilize it unless you brought your own pots and pans . There was drywall dust all over the floor and on all the outlets. No bath mat, no shampoo, no blow dryer. I spent my first night looking at past reviews to see if maybe my room was a fluke. It sadly was not, but they sure were funny and much of what was mentioned in those from months ago are still true now. The highlight was the 6 foot lamp. Seriously. Avoid this place."
