"This review is primarily on the brisket sandwich, which was fresh and tender. Also had a side of Mac and cheese and coleslaw. The Mac and cheese wasn't too bad. It lacked flavor but was loaded with cheese. Adding the brisket to it took both foods to another level. .....hint....hint. The coleslaw was sweet but the texture wasn't to my personal liking+ though I did eat half."
"Do not miss this spot for lunch. The large number of public service vehicles at lunch tells you this is the place to be. Melt-in-your-mouth brisket, sausage links, mac and cheese, potato salad. A happy find."
"I stopped in Gary Lee's for lunch and the service was very quick with the staff being very friendly. The brisket was juicy and tender and was a great match with the barbeque sauce, which wasn't too sweet and slightly tangy. The bacon is a must try as it was crispy with a pop from the pepper to make it a great addition to the meal. I'm not a fan of sausage but this has a nice mixture making it not too hot. The baked beans were sweet with the bits of brisket adding a nice surprise. The potato salad was my favorite because of its unique potato cuts and creamy taste with just a hint of flavor from the red peppers and pickles. Take a chance and stop in on your journey, I am sure you would enjoy it too."
"Filled with soooooo many cops. It’s great. Great food and establishment. This place comes with high reviews from all the locals. Fantastic barbecue food. I had the smoked cheeseburger and some smoked wings. Definitely didn’t disappoint. Been full all day."
"If you are a fan of BBQ, then you have to make a pilgrimage to Gary Lee. This is the real deal. This is authentic BBQ and it doesn't get much better than this. We have been stopping here for years during our trips to Florida and back. They are less than 5 minutes off of Interstate 95 in Brunswick, Georgia. They are only open on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. It's a take out place, but they have tables inside to sit and eat at."
