"Ate here for second time today. Unfortunate to spend $100 on sushi and chicken/ shrimp plate with no flavor. 2nd time I’ve eaten here and the chicken and shrimp was over cooked and under flavored. Sushi is decent though and my wife enjoyed her noodles. Won’t be ordering the plates any more i suppose when we visit friends in Jesup."

"My son and I went to Oishii as a second choice, as our preferred restaurant was closed. Having never been before, we weren’t sure what to expect. This is a family owned establishment, and the teenage daughter was hosting. In the manner of GenZ, she gestured for us to sit anywhere and seemed bothered we were there. There were three other tables, and all of them had food already. She brought us menus then forgot we existed - she even said “oh I forgot about you!” - and I had to ask if we needed to get up from our table to order. The bill for two of us was $65, which seemed reasonable for what all we ordered. My son didn’t want to eat some of his sushi, stating it looked like rubber. On the front of the menu, it states an 18% service fee for parties of 6 or more would be added automatically - pretty standard for a large party. However when the host brought our check, I noticed that the service fee was added to our party of 2, bringing the bill closer to $72. When I asked the host about it, she walked away to get her mother - I would assume the manager/owner. When I asked her about the fee, she said it was because we dined in; that because they provided us the service of serving us inside the restaurant, we had to pay this fee, and if we didn’t want to pay it next time just get our food to go. I wish I was making this up, but the woman refused to let me finish a sentence. Needless to say, we won’t be going back, or ordering to go. Edit to comment on the owner’s response “because too many customers not give tip that is why we add the service fee in the computer” Tips should be earned, not required or expected. If your business can’t survive without gratuity, increase your prices or demand better service from your employees. Forcing your customers to tip you in the guise of a “service fee” is not a good business practice. How many people don’t see this “service fee” and still leave a tip on top of the 18% you already charged them to sit in your restaurant?"

"My husband and I have sampled sushi all over the country and the Tuna Tataki is one of the best we’ve ever had! The rainbow roll, love roll, and hamachi with scallions were also delicious. At first I was a little disappointed to learn they did not have Chardonnay, but the hostess let me sample their plum wine and their cherry wine. Both were unique and wonderful. I chose the cherry wine and was not disappointed. We will definitely return!"

"Great options for sushi without the drive all the way to Savannah. Will ask for less or no spicy mayo. It's family owned so the teenage children are taking orders but are friendly. I really loved the curry!"
