"Vast and green, a nice place in the neighborhood. It is a great open space to play ball or to contemplate big flocks of Canadian Geese picking on the grass. Dogs are not allowed (what a pity!) and there is a $25.00 fine if you do. Some folks just ignore the signs and bring the puppies to play and mess the on the grass. Please, don't be like one of them..."

"Stackpole field is a large level field with a Gridiron for Saugus High School football and a baseball diamond. A large set of bleachers is the seating for football games. Access to the field is restricted to pedestrians only."
