Welcome to Condor Street Urban Wild, a hidden gem in the heart of East Boston. Located at 300 Condor Street, Boston, Massachusetts, this unique urban park is part of the city's Urban Wilds Initiative, dedicated to preserving and enhancing Boston's natural landscapes for the enjoyment of both current and future residents.
Nestled at the intersection of Border Street and Condor Street, this fan-shaped parcel of inter-tidal land offers breathtaking views of the inner harbor, including sights of the Tobin Bridge and Mystic River. Although the area is submerged for parts of the day and lacks direct access, it remains a valuable natural resource, serving as a habitat for diverse marine life and playing a crucial role in flood control and water quality improvement.
Once a neglected dumping ground, the Condor Street Urban Wild has been revitalized through a state-mandated soil remediation project, transforming it into a publicly accessible oasis. Completed in the fall of 2003, the restored site now features serene walking paths, a boardwalk, and a viewing platform overlooking the bustling Chelsea River. Visitors can explore the salt marsh, meadow grasses, and other coastal habitats, with interpretive displays highlighting the rich ecology and history of the area planned for future installation.
This urban park is not only a sanctuary for nature lovers but also a vital green space that breaks up the industrial landscape of East Boston. Whether you're a birdwatcher, a nature enthusiast, or simply in search of a peaceful retreat, Condor Street Urban Wild invites you to experience the beauty and tranquility of Boston's natural heritage. Come and discover this urban treasure today!

"If I could give 0 stars I would. I wasn’t allowed in because I had a koozy that apparently wasn’t allowed. I was not drunk, I had one drink on the way to the bar and wasn’t allowed in due to having an open container. I understand this and immediately threw away the container. I still was not allowed in or was the group I was in which was unfortunate since we were not drunk. We had to leave and Uber to another bar due to this which is unfortunate because they had very young children that were allowed but we were not and we were adults and very understanding"
"Stopped by on my walk this morning. Will suffice if you want to see water in the city. Not a beach you can enjoy. Saw a sign saying the park is closed from dusk til dawn. Probably a nice spot for both sunrises & sunsets. Still had good views with light rain."
"Nice views and lovely place with an intertidal area. Good for spotting shorebirds! There is also a playground nearby for kids to have fun."
"The area needs to be cleaned up if you ask me. Street, construction and many other types of workers sit out by the water in groups to eat their lunch and leave their trash. So down by the water trash and up and around the little trail more trash not really such a great place to hangout."
"Cute public park. This public park is small but nice to hang out and possibly watch airplanes take off or land. People in the neighborhood just throw their trash all over the place which makes this area look dirty and gross. The BPD does try to maintain it but the trash is just too much."
