"We did 3 miles in 1 hour and 20 minutes. We parked in a small parking area near a boat ramp. An easy trail that's not marked well but easily identified. Mostly wide meandering trails that basically follow the shoreline of Field Pond and what seems like some backyards. Lots of beaver activity throughout the forest. Lots of roots some being slippery. There are two areas that bring you to the street that you have to walk on to get back to the tral and parking area. We saw a couple of ducks in the water."
"Construction in the drained pond, (yes, in the pond) next to Field has the main parking lot closed for people looking to fish or canoe. Pond was treated for vegetation June 16th, with very minimal notices visible, which is not ideal for fishing conditions. Aside from that probably was a nice place before."

"Very scenic area with several recreational opportunities. Very tough to downplay the pleasant surroundings. Plenty of sunfish and frogs to entertain younger kids. Parking area here is often full, and if it's not designated a parking area, it's not allowed. There's another lot further west if you don't mind a bit of a walk. The Collins lot has some sizeable puddles currently; if you have a lower vehicle be careful. On the Collins pond side a Honda Accord got stuck while we were there after bottoming out trying to park in a too-uneven spot. Litter has been a larger problem in recent times I think, and we took home a full 5-gallon bucket after our visit last night. Plenty of signs of heavy use (look closely and there's trash and fishing detritus everywhere). It can get busy with kayakers launching and folks fishing. The trail along the shoreline can get very muddy depending on weather. Despite the downsides, it's a conveniently located and very peaceful spot. Plenty of short hikes to access slightly-more-secluded areas too."
