Our parking facility provides convenient access to the charming Weir River Farm, one of the last working farms in Hingham. Nestled within a picturesque 75-acre estate, the farm is home to a delightful array of barnyard animals, including horses, pigs, cows, chickens, and sheep, offering an authentic farm experience for visitors of all ages.
Originally part of the early-20th-century country estate of renowned artist Polly Thayer Starr, Weir River Farm is a haven of natural beauty and cultural history. The farm features lush fields and pastures, surrounded by oak and red cedar woodlands, and supports diverse wildlife habitats. Visitors can explore scenic trails that intersect the farm, providing opportunities to spot our herd of Belted Galloway cattle and other barnyard animals.
Our parking lot is conveniently located for easy access to the farm's attractions, including the barnyard, which is open to the public during specific programs and events. Whether you're visiting for a weekend Open Barnyard experience, a special event, or a trail hike, we provide ample parking to accommodate your needs.
Weir River Farm is dedicated to connecting people with their local food systems through our Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) programs. We offer fresh, organic produce and pasture-raised meats, providing a true taste of farm life. Join our CSA to support local farming and enjoy the bounty of the season.
In addition to farm activities, Weir River Farm hosts a variety of programs and events year-round, including concerts, picnics, and educational programs for school and youth groups. We are proud to partner with Autism Alliance to offer Autism Welcoming and sensory responsive options, ensuring an inclusive experience for all visitors.
Please note that there are two parking lots available for accessing Weir River Farm. For public parking, use the lot at 140 Turkey Hill Lane. To reach the barnyard, cross the street carefully and follow the grassy path down the hill towards the big red barn.

"The care taker was great. He was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. I don't eat meat but my husband does. We are careful about where we buy from and we would buy here again. This historical property is beautiful, well taken care of and has been conserved since the 1800s. Take a stroll, bring your kids, or come buy your next meal here. Also, beautiful view of Boston from the top!"
